Once you have been accepted into your Australian university you will want to begin fulfilling requirements for your student visa. Please read below to determine which link to follow for further information. Please note: It is extremely important that you read all the directions carefully. Do not skim them. You want to make sure you have a complete visa application before applying. It is very important that you obtain your Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) before you apply for your visa. You can get your CoE by paying for one semester of your program as a deposit, and accepting your offer. CIS can assist you in this process, but you will be responsible for contacting the university regarding payment. Payment instruction will be sent with your offer letter. You may download a student visa application from the New Zealand Consulate office website at: http://www.nzembassy.com/info.cfm?CFID=117052&CFTOKEN=15163500&c=31&l=86&s=go&p=60243 The website and visa application contain a complete list of directions. Please note: One mandatory requirement is a letter from the New Zealand University stating you have paid your annual tuition. Most students pay the tuition on a credit card and the university is then able to produce this letter (or receipt). Methods of payment are included with your offer letter as well.
All US citizens planning on studying in the UK for six months or longer will need to apply for Entry Clearance. Entry Clearance is a document that is issued to travelers who have been granted permission to enter the UK . It will be in the form of a stamp or sticker placed in your passport. When studying in Ireland you will not need a visa to enter the country, but you will be required to get one after arrival. The University of Limerick will assist you with acquiring the visa during the first week on campus. (They will send you an acceptance packet specifying what information you need to bring when you meet with immigration officers on campus.) |
