GRADUATE ADMISSIONS

Before applying to a degree program overseas, it is important to understand the admissions requirements of the universities with which we partner. In some ways, admissions requirements are similar to those at many schools here in the U.S., but there are a few significant differences of which you should be aware. Read below to find out more...

Admissions Requirements

In reviewing the admissions chart below for CIS partner universities, please keep mind that these are the minimum requirements for each university. The admission decision pertaining to your application is based upon your complete and whole academic record - academic background, references, work experience, etc. You are not automatically guaranteed acceptance if you meet the requirements below as you will still be measured against other students applying to your particular program. For specific academic program requirements, you should check on the university's Web site to which you are applying.

Please note that CIS cannot accept students into a program - that is solely at the discretion of the university. However, we can offer you advice and "tips" for applying to a particular program such as:

  • When applying for a postgraduate degree in an academic area that is very specialized (i.e. architecture, psychology, social work, etc.), you must possess a bachelor's degree in that field.

  • Some students have special circumstances, for example, they have several years of work experience, but a lower GPA than required by the university. In cases such as this we encourage you to call us and discuss your situation, and we reiterate that acceptance is based upon your whole application.

  • Universities abroad generally do not require you to take the GRE to apply. However, you may need to take the GMAT if you plan to apply to an MBA program.

It is our pleasure to assist you with processing your application, but we do ask that you use the chart below as a guideline so you do not squander your valuable time applying if you are below the minimum requirements.

In fact, in some cases these universities are more competitive than those with specific GPA requirements. Every piece of your application will be assessed and this includes your undergraduate GPA.
